This special day of talks and discussions delved into rich alternative histories from the Tudor period to explore England in a global context, unravel the symbolism of jewels and restrictive sumptuary laws, highlight the Black presence in England, investigate often obscured LGBT+ histories and detail how mobility and movement across the known world shaped perceptions of humanity.
